Who are we?

As history enthusiasts and to emphasize the local connection, the brewery was named Brouwerij Westkwartier.

At the time of the Iconoclasm in the 16th century, the southwestern corner of the County of Flanders, where Geluveld is located, was known as the "West Quarter".

Brouwerij Westkwartier, from rural Geluveld in West Flanders, was founded in 2020 as a brewery with a passion for sour, wild, and barrel-aged beers.

Driven by a love for the craft, the beer is brewed in an artisanal manner and entirely by ourselves. The entire production process, from development and brewing to bottling, takes place completely in-house. We work with high-quality, local ingredients from our own terroir, such as exclusively Poperinge hops and Belgian malt varieties.
